WorldHotels launches a new Backdrop for glamping escapes

WorldHotels, part of the BWH Group, has launched WorldHotels Backdrop, a new collection of upscale glamping retreats and outdoor escapes located in scenic destinations worldwide.

The collection features accommodations ranging from canvas-tented suites to riverside cabins nestled among mountains, coastlines and national park gateways. The launch comes as travellers increasingly seek more intentional ways to reconnect with nature, local communities and themselves.

“Today’s traveller is seeking more than a getaway; they’re looking for connection and purpose. It’s about meaningful moments in local neighborhoods and journeys designed to inspire a deeper connection,” said Ron Pohl, president of WorldHotels.

Among the inaugural properties is Zion Wildflower Resort, WorldHotels in Virgin, Utah, which offers safari-style accommodations just minutes from Zion National Park, providing easy access to hiking, stargazing and guided desert adventures amid dramatic red rock landscapes.

Also joining the collection is Asheville River Cabins, WorldHotels in Arden, North Carolina, where newly renovated cabins along the French Broad River offer a base for tubing, hiking and mountain biking in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

In Central America, The Lodge at Pico Bonito, WorldHotels brings guests close to Pico Bonito National Park, with access to rainforest trails, waterfalls and abundant wildlife in one of the region’s richest biodiversity hotspots.

According to BWH Hotels, early talks are also underway to bring Backdrop to Asia, such as in Vietnam, as well as safaris headed to Australia and Africa.
