
Wanda Hotels & Resorts has exceeded 300 operating hotels, with more than 52,000 rooms and over 500 properties in development across more than 400 destinations.
Wanda Hotels & Resorts expansion reached a new milestone in August 2026, as the Chinese hotel management group surpassed 300 operating hotels worldwide.
Established in 2007, the company provides hotel design, development and operational management services across luxury, upscale and mid-scale segments. Its portfolio includes urban hotels and resorts in tourism destinations.
Portfolio exceeds 52,000 rooms
Wanda Hotels & Resorts currently operates more than 300 hotels with over 52,000 rooms. The company also has more than 500 additional properties in its development pipeline across more than 400 destinations worldwide.
Li Jun, president of Wanda Hotels & Resorts, said the milestone reflects the company’s expanding brand portfolio, integrated capabilities across the hotel lifecycle and long-term focus on the Chinese hospitality market.
International expansion continues
Wanda Hotels & Resorts has accelerated its international growth in 2026. During the first half of the year, the company signed a management agreement in Zimbabwe, marking its entry into the African market.
The group also added projects in Cambodia and Laos, including hotels in Sihanoukville, Phnom Penh and Luang Prabang.
The company’s overseas portfolio already includes properties in Istanbul, Türkiye; Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand; and Vientiane, Laos. Wanda Hotels & Resorts has adopted an asset-light management model to expand its brands while adapting operations to local markets.
Integrated tourism projects in China
In China, Wanda Hotels & Resorts has expanded beyond traditional hotel operations through integrated tourism and hospitality projects.
In winter tourism, the company has developed a broader model that combines skiing, wellness, hot springs and family tourism. It is developing related projects in Jilin province and other destinations.
The company has also incorporated local cultural resources into tourism projects. In Danzhai, Guizhou province, Wanda combines Miao ethnic intangible cultural heritage with accommodation and educational experiences.
In Yuxi, Yunnan province, a project linked to composer Nie Er’s legacy integrates music, cultural experiences, retail and accommodation.
Loyalty programme and digital distribution
As of August 2026, Wanda Hotels & Resorts’ loyalty programme had more than 25 million members.
Since joining Tongcheng Travel in October 2025, the company has also focused on expanding distribution channels and digital capabilities through cooperation with the travel platform.
Diversified hotel brand portfolio
Wanda Hotels & Resorts operates a range of brands across different market segments, including luxury, upscale and lifestyle concepts.
The portfolio includes Wanda Reign, Wanda Vista, Wanda Realm, Wanda Jin, Wanda Yi, Wanda Moments and Wanda Yue.
With more than 300 operating hotels and over 500 properties in development, the company continues to expand its presence across domestic and international hospitality markets.
