The Lind Coron will open in Palawan in 2027 with 91 rooms and villas, private pools, dining concepts, wellness facilities, a dive centre and event spaces.
With The Lind Coron, The Lind Hotels will expand into Palawan in 2027 with a 91-room resort and villas. The opening will also bring the Filipino hospitality brand back to the destination where its development story first began. More than a decade ago, Coron became the company’s first property acquisition.
The group later chose Boracay to introduce the brand because it was already a more established tourism destination. Since then, The Lind Boracay has built an international profile and received several industry accolades. It also became the first hotel in Boracay to be included in the MICHELIN Guide.
Pierre Henrichs, Chief Operating Officer of The Lind Hotels, said:
“We have always believed in pioneering rather than following,” said Pierre Henrichs, Chief Operating Officer of The Lind Hotels. “Coron offers a rare combination of natural beauty and untapped potential. Our goal is not only to be part of its growth, but to help shape its future by bringing a new standard of hospitality to the destination.”
Villa-led accommodation with private pools
The resort will feature 91 rooms and villas designed around privacy and longer periods of shared leisure time. Private villas will include individual dipping pools. In addition, villa guests will have access to a dedicated Villa Host throughout their stay.
The property will sit within Coron’s landscape of limestone formations, turquoise waters and lagoons. Its location will also give guests access to island excursions and marine activities. At the same time, the resort is being designed for guests who prefer to spend more time on the property.
Dining, wellness and diving form part of the resort offer
The Lind Coron will include two main dining concepts. Yím will serve modern Thai cuisine, while Crust will be centrally located in the Main House beside the infinity pool. The latter will combine indoor and outdoor seating with sea views.
Crust will focus on Mediterranean flavours and locally crafted beverages. Meanwhile, the resort’s wellness offer will include The Spa Wellness Coron. The Lind Hotels describes the operator as the Philippines’ first spa brand to receive Superbrand status.
Diving will also form an important part of the guest experience. The resort will have its own dive centre, operated by one of the Philippines’ established diving companies. Guests can combine reef diving, island-hopping, and visits to hidden lagoons.
World War II shipwrecks lie close to the property and will provide another diving option. Coron is already known for this type of underwater heritage. Therefore, the dive centre will give the resort a direct link to one of the destination’s most distinctive visitor experiences.
Events and weddings supported by sea-view venues
The resort will also target meetings, weddings and private events. The Gallery, an indoor venue with capacity for up to 200 guests, will offer panoramic sea views. The Cove will provide an outdoor alternative for gatherings.
At the property’s highest point, the Roof Deck will offer 360-degree views across the sea, mountains and surrounding greenery. The space is intended for wedding ceremonies, proposals and other private occasions. Together, the venues broaden the resort’s offer beyond leisure stays.
Henrichs added:
“We aim to create a resort that belongs in its setting rather than competes with it,” added Henrichs. “We want guests to experience the beauty, authenticity and adventure of Coron while enjoying the hospitality and service they have come to associate with The Lind Hotels.”
Palawan expansion brings the brand back to its starting point
The 2027 opening carries particular significance for the company because Coron was its first property acquisition. Although Boracay ultimately became the brand’s launch destination, the Palawan project remained part of its longer-term plans. The new resort therefore completes a development path that began more than a decade earlier.
Ahead of the opening, The Lind Hotels will participate in the Philippine Travel Mart from 4 to 6 September 2026. The event will take place at the SMX Convention Center Manila in the Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
Once operational, The Lind Coron will combine villa accommodation, wellness, dining, diving and event facilities in one Palawan resort. The project also marks the next stage of expansion for The Lind Hotels while establishing the brand in one of the Philippines’ best-known island destinations.
