Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Accor’s luxury hotel brand, has announced plans to launch its first property in Tokyo. The new hotel is slated to open in 2028 as part of the redevelopment of Tokyo’s World Trade Center (WTC) in the Hamamatsucho district.

The project is a joint venture between Raffles, World Trade Center Building, Inc. and Tokyo Tatemono Co. The Raffles Tokyo will occupy the top 46 floors of the WTC building, which has been a Tokyo landmark since 1970.

Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles Hotels & Resorts, revealed that the hotel will “feature the brand’s world-renowned hallmarks including personalised Butler Service and an inspiring environment where anything is possible for our guests.”

The hotel will feature 130 guestrooms, including 27 suites, all designed by Layan with panoramic city views. Amenities will include six food and beverage outlets, a fitness studio, swimming pool, spa, and bathhouse. More than 1,156 square metres of meeting space will also be available.

Hitoshi Nomura, President and CEO of Tokyo Tatemono Co., stated: “Together with Accor Group and the World Trade Center Building, we hope to create a new landmark in Tokyo and contribute to the creation of an even livelier international city and the enhancement of Tokyo’s international competitiveness.”

The hotel’s location in Hamamatsucho offers convenient access to major business hubs, the Shinkansen bullet train, and airports, making it suitable for both business and leisure travellers.
