Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced plans to open a new luxury resort and branded residences on Bali’s southern coast, specifically on the Bukit peninsula. Mandarin Oriental, Bali is scheduled to open in 2027.

The resort will be located on a cliffside plateau, offering panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and direct access to a secluded white-sand beach. Guests will have access to infinity pools, cliff-edge dining, and wellness experiences integrated into the cliffside setting.

Designed by Design Lab architects with interior design by Jeffrey Wilkes and landscaping by Bill Bensley, the resort will reflect Balinese culture while incorporating Mandarin Oriental’s standards of luxury. Laurent Kleitman, CEO of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, highlighted the project’s commitment to blending elegance with tranquility.

The development, a collaboration with local real estate developer Harmoni Bali, will feature 110 suites and villas, most with private pools, terraces, or gardens. Dining options will include a cliff-edge restaurant, a specialty Chinese restaurant, a speakeasy bar, and a beach club. The resort will also offer a comprehensive spa, wellness treatments, a Kids Club, tennis and padel courts, and access to nearby golf courses, including Bukit Pandawa and Bali National Golf Club.

The branded residences will consist of 68 private villas, ranging from 3 to 6 bedrooms, situated on an 8-hectare site above the resort. Residents will enjoy a clubhouse with various amenities, including a gym and swimming pool, and access to the resort’s facilities.

Located 30 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport and key tourist areas, the resort and residences aim to enhance luxury hospitality in Bali’s scenic and culturally rich southern Bukit peninsula.
