Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree will open its doors in Singapore’s Mandai Reserve

Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree marks the first Singapore property for Banyan Tree Group

Banyan Tree Group, known for its luxurious and nature-inspired resorts, is planting deeper roots in its home country with the launch of its first Singapore property – the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree.

Nestled within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve – Singapore’s integrated wildlife and nature destination – the 338-room resort will open its doors in April 2025, blending world-class hospitality with the lush, vibrant greenery of one of Singapore’s most biodiverse areas.

The Mandai Rainforest Resort features accommodations that include unique treehouses, guest rooms, and suites with views of the rainforest, gardens, and Upper Seletar Reservoir. Guests will enjoy waking up to the symphony of nature and stepping directly into wildlife-inspired adventures, such as early bird visits to Bird Paradise or guided family programmes at Singapore Zoo. The resort will be home to the 300-seater Meranti Ballroom as well as the Banyan Tree Spa.

This Singapore debut is set to mark a milestone for Banyan Tree Group, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a record pipeline of 15 new hotel and resort openings in 2025, including expansions into Tanzania (Ubuyu, a Banyan Tree Escape) and the Dominican Republic (Cassia Punta Cana).

The group also achieved a landmark year in 2024 with a record 18 new hotel and resort openings, including six in Japan and South Korea, and eight in China as part of its multi-brand expansion strategy across Asia.

“We are in our next chapter of growth and innovation, building momentum from the last 30 years as we enter this new phase. 2025 will continue to be a meaningful evolution of our dynamic portfolio as we plant flags in new locations in Asia and beyond. With new destinations, products, experiences and partnerships, we also look forward to the deepening of our sustainability promise and commitment to wellbeing,” said Eddy See, president and CEO, Banyan Group.
