Japan’s first Waldorf Astoria blooms in Osaka

Waldorf Astoria Osaka’s Peacock Alley is an elegant all-day lounge with panoramic Kansai views, offering seasonal dishes, afternoon tea, and champagne in a sophisticated setting.

Hilton has announced the opening of Waldorf Astoria Osaka, the brand’s first property in Japan. The launch comes ahead of the Osaka-Kansai Expo and coincides with peak cherry blossom season.

Designed by architect André Fu, the 252-room hotel blends Eastern and Western influences with an Art Deco aesthetic inspired by the original Waldorf Astoria New York.

Guest rooms combine classical Art Deco opulence with the serenity of traditional Japanese design. Located on the 31st floor and higher, they offer panoramic views of the city skyline and Osaka Bay. The hotel features 10 room categories, ranging from the 48 sqm Deluxe Room to the 193 sqm Presidential Suite.

The hotel features four dining concepts, including cocktail bar Canes & Tales; all-day lounge Peacock Alley; French brasserie Jolie Brasserie, and Japanese fine-dining restaurant Tsukimi.

Additional amenities include a dedicated Personal Concierge service to curate tailored experiences, a spa inspired by Japanese healing traditions, an indoor pool, and thermal wellness facilities. The hotel’s event spaces include an intimate chapel designed for small gatherings and receptions.
