Hilton’s first flagship hotel in Hiroshima has officially opened its doors. The hotel is located within walking distance of the Atomic Bomb Dome, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Peace Memorial Park, a 10-minute drive from Hiroshima station.
Hilton Hiroshima is also a stone’s throw away from major dining, shopping and sightseeing spots such as the Hiroshima Castle and Itsukushima Shrine with its famous floating torii gate.
The hotel’s opening is just in time to meet the needs of business travellers attending the G7 summit in Hiroshima next year, and also leisure travellers intending to travel to Japan as its borders gradually creak open.
With 420 rooms, the Hilton Hiroshima is ideal for housing MICE delegates and even hosting MICE events with its 19 banquet and meeting rooms that can accommodate more than 1,000 attendees.
Additional hotel facilities include four restaurants, an executive lounge, a wedding chapel, a fitness centre, an indoor pool, sauna, and the very first L’Occitane branded spa in the region.
The four F&B options are:
• FLOW Lounge — A social space for freshly brewed coffee and pastries in the morning, healthy and hearty dishes during lunch, artisanal sweets in the afternoon, or cocktails with locally sourced and produced tapas in the evening.
• MOZAIK — The hotel’s all-day dining restaurant featuring breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet spreads created from local ingredients, alongside à la carte options.
• SENSUI — A Japanese restaurant helmed by two-starred Michelin chef Takagi featuring sushi, teppanyaki and kaiseki created from the region’s best quality local produce.
• ZATTA Bar & Lounge — A place to unwind for afternoon tea and evening cocktails, including locally produced sake, with live music.
The décor throughout the hotel, from the rooms to the restaurants, is inspired by Hiroshima’s nature and culture, with blue accents that reflect the Seto Inland Sea, art featuring graphic designs of Japanese maple tree, and amenities such as Bizen porcelain teacups which are inspired by the traditional craftsmanship of the region.
The hotel offers aerial views of the city with sceneries as far as the Seto Inland Sea and distance mountains.
Hilton Hiroshima’s opening marks Hilton’s 600th property worldwide.
