Capella Hotels and Resorts has announced its entry into South Korea through a partnership with Heonin Town Development Ltd. The project, Capella Residences Seoul, is set to open in 2027 in the Seocho-gu district of Seoul’s Gangnam area.
The development will be situated in Heonin Village, a new residential zone that combines urban living with green spaces. The project forms part of a larger development that includes premium housing by Lotte Construction.
“Seoul’s transformation over the past few decades has been nothing short of incredible. It’s a city where cutting-edge innovation and rich traditions co-exist in fascinating ways – much like our brand ethos,” said Cristiano Rinaldi, president of Capella Hotel Group.
Lynn Woo, representative of Heonin Town Development Ltd, said: “Our vision is to introduce an unparalleled living experience curated by a world-class brand in one of the most unique and stunning environments in Seoul. We are excited about Capella’s arrival, which will elevate a new benchmark for luxury living in South Korea.”
The Seoul property adds to Capella’s expansion plans, which include forthcoming openings in Taipei, Kyoto, Riyadh, Nanjing, and Shenzhen. The group currently operates properties across seven destinations including Singapore, Sydney, Ubud, Bangkok, Hanoi, Shanghai, and Hainan.
