Banyan Group has announced the opening of Garrya Mu Cang Chai, its first Garrya-branded property in Vietnam and the first international resort in the Mu Cang Chai region of Yen Bai province, Northern Vietnam.
The resort spans 6.5 hectares and includes 110 rooms, suites, and villas. Each accommodation offers views of the surrounding rice terraces and mountains, with designs featuring bamboo accents and brocade motifs typical of the local H’Mong community.
Located over 300 kilometres north of Hanoi, the area is recognised as a national natural heritage site. Garrya Mu Cang Chai is accessible via a six-hour drive from the capital and is close to attractions such as Mam Xoi and Mong Ngua rice terrace hills, H’Mong villages, and Khau Pha Pass.

“We are delighted to introduce Garrya Mu Cang Chai, a perfect getaway from the city, surrounded by picturesque rice terraces. The resort embodies Garrya’s philosophy of finding beauty in simplicity,” said General Manager Thinh Phan.
Dining venues include Refresh, an all-day restaurant offering local and international cuisine, Charcoal Grill with live kitchen dining inspired by traditional cooking methods, and the BZen Pool Bar. The resort also features the 8LEMENTS Spa and a Hydro Wellbeing Area with saunas, steam rooms, and thermal pools. Fitness and leisure facilities include a gym and a Social Zone with board games.
For events, the property houses an 8-metre-high pillarless bamboo ballroom with panoramic views, outdoor event spaces, and smaller meeting rooms with modern AV technology. The resort also caters to destination weddings.
