Andaz makes Indonesia debut in Bali

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has unveiled Indonesia’s first Andaz property in Bali’s Sanur, where the country’s first Hyatt-branded hotel opened more than 40 years ago.

Andaz Bali marks the brand’s first resort in Asia, adding to other Andaz hotels in the region including Seoul, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Singapore, Tokyo and Xiamen.

Andaz Bali has 149 guestrooms, including 18 garden villas and four beach villas, spread in low-rise clusters in accordance to cardinal directions of the Balinese Hindu religion.

Entry rooms start at 66sqm, boasting a private balcony either overlooking the garden, ocean or lagoon; while the two-bedroom beach villas start at 578sqm, offering an outdoor terrace for barbecues, a living area, swimming pool and in-villa check in service.

The beachfront resort takes its overall design cues from its Balinese surroundings, with the Village Square offering an open, barrier-free design to encourage social interaction and four interconnected Studios providing 236 square metres of space for hosting gatherings and events.

Leisure facilities include a trio of swimming pools; the Shankha Spa at the adjacent Hyatt Regency Bali, which also houses a fitness centres.

On the dining front, there’s the local Jimbaran seafood dining experience at Fisherman’s Club, Asian fare and Indonesian favourites from Wok Wok, meat fresh from the grill at Fire Fox, roasts from the eponymous Blue Oven or coffee and desserts from Deli & Bakery.
