Absolute Hotel Services Group (AHS) has launched Eastin Estates, a luxury long-stay brand targeting Asia’s fast-growing silver-haired market.

The limited and unconsolidated supply in extended stay for active seniors in Asia, plus a huge yet untapped demand base from both domestic and international markets were key reasons driving AHS’ foray into the niche segment, according to CEO Jonathan Wigley.

The first Eastin Estates are expected to rise in Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia, offering a residential community experience with services and high-end facilities that encourage health and social connections among seniors.

Studios start at 40-50sqm to 80-100sqm for two-bedroom units, equipped with a kitchenette, bathroom and balcony or terrace. Rooms will feature sustainable materials as well as practical touches such as easily accessible drawers and cupboards, plug points and lighting controls at waist height and non-slip floors.

All public areas, from lounge area and meeting rooms to fitness centre and minimart will be wheelchair-friendly, while a health centre offers a 24/7 nurse and emergency support.

Pets are also allowed in the estates, where a la carte pet grooming and meal services can be provided.

Technology and connectivity are expected to be a major feature at Eastin Estates, with staff at hand to handle all retirement visa and immigration administration.
