Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened its first hotel in Thailand, with the debut of Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit in one of the Thai capital’s busiest lifestyle and business districts.

The property, developed in partnership with Asset World Corp, offers 416 guestrooms and 58 suites.

Designed by Thai architectural and interior design practice PIA, the hotel draws on Thailand’s botanical heritage, most visibly through a lobby chandelier inspired by the ratchaphruek, Thailand’s national flower. The installation comprises 4,166 glass pieces and more than 35,000 crystal balls.

Wellness facilities include Fairmont Spa, Fairmont Studio for yoga, cardio and strength training, and the Fairmont Fit programme, which incorporates wellness touchpoints throughout the guest stay.

Other features include a Kids Club, pet-friendly amenities for animals weighing up to 30kg, and Fairmont Gold, the brand’s hotel-within-a-hotel concept offering an exclusive lounge, dedicated check-in and concierge services.

The hotel also brings 2,000sqm of meetings and events space across three floors. Its facilities include the Signature Grand Ballroom with a 12-metre ceiling, a second ballroom, seven breakout rooms, Couture Hall and additional meeting spaces.

Dining concepts roll out through 2026

The hotel will progressively roll out its dining and nightlife offering throughout the rest of the year.

Among the concepts are Harper’s, a North American-French brasserie; AELA Social Bar, which shifts from a daytime lounge to an evening cocktail venue; and CAYA Pool Club, serving contemporary takes on Thai street food.

Entertainment venue, Wiggle Room, is scheduled to open in mid-September. Accessed via its own entrance on Sukhumvit Soi 18, the supper club will combine live music, performances, cocktails and dining.

The culinary line-up will expand further in December, when two new concepts open across levels 32 and 33, including a rooftop venue blending Italian and Japanese influences, and another focused on contemporary Thai cuisine.
