Luxury Turkish hospitality resort brand Maxx Royal will make its international debut in the Maldives in autumn 2027, opening a five-island resort designed for couples, families and groups.
Located in Kaafu Atoll, Maxx Royal Maldives will be approximately 30 minutes from Malé by private yacht or speedboat. The boat connection offers an alternative to resorts requiring daylight-dependent seaplane transfers.
The property will join the brand’s existing resorts in Belek, Kemer and Bodrum, Türkiye.
The accommodation mix will include garden and overwater villas, with multi-bedroom options supporting the resort’s multigenerational focus.
Villas on Thari Island will offer a more private setting, with access to the island’s own beach, wellness facilities and dedicated service team, including butlers.
Even younger guests will have dedicated facilities: Maxxi Land for children aged up to 12 and the Young Royals Club for teenagers aged 13 to 17. Programming will include age-appropriate creative activities, exploration and play for children, alongside professionally led activities and personalised programmes for teenagers, rounded out by an aquapark.
For guests looking to recharge, the resort’s Joyful Longevity concept will combine preventative wellness, recovery and emotional wellbeing, with programmes tailored to guests’ goals.
A Wellbeing Village will house a Recovery Lounge and Emotional Reset Room, alongside spaces for exercise, thermal therapies and mindful practices. Planned treatments will include Turkish and Ayurvedic therapies, Watsu aquatic sessions, sound healing and targeted recovery practices.
The resort will serve up a dining line-up featuring Spago by Wolfgang Puck, Leña by Dani García and Caviar Kaspia, spanning Californian-inspired fine dining, fire-led steakhouse cooking and the Parisian brand’s caviar offering.
With conservation in focus, Maxx Royal Maldives is targeting LEED Platinum, the highest level under the LEED green-building rating system. Plans also include an on-site Marine Biology Centre and Manta Protection Programme to help protect the surrounding ecosystem.
