Hilton is expanding its lifestyle portfolio in Southeast Asia with three new signings in Phuket, Chiang Mai and the Maldives, including the debut of Tapestry Collection by Hilton in the island destination.
Hilton continues its lifestyle expansion in Southeast Asia with the signing of three new properties in Thailand and the Maldives, strengthening its presence in the luxury and lifestyle hospitality segments across the region.
The new agreements include a Curio Collection by Hilton property in Phuket and two Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotels in Chiang Mai and the Maldives. The signings support Hilton’s ambition to exceed 250 luxury and lifestyle hotels across Asia Pacific.
The additions also reinforce Hilton’s strategy to expand its lifestyle portfolio in Southeast Asia, where the company plans to more than double its luxury and lifestyle presence in response to growing demand for experience-driven stays.
Curio Collection by Hilton enters Phuket
Andamanda Voyage, Curio Collection by Hilton, is scheduled to open at the end of 2026 within the Andamanda Waterpark complex in Phuket’s Kathu District.
The 246-room resort will mark the debut of the Curio Collection brand in Phuket. The property will join a global portfolio of more than 200 Curio Collection hotels, each focused on distinctive design concepts and locally inspired experiences.
Guests will have direct access to Andamanda’s retail and dining village, while the resort’s location provides convenient connections to Phuket Old Town, Patong and Karon beaches, as well as major attractions including Phuket Fantasea and Carnival Magic.
The Phuket opening will also complement Hilton’s growing presence on the island, including The Rawai Phuket, LXR Hotels & Resorts, scheduled to open in 2027 as the company’s first LXR-branded resort in Thailand.
Tapestry Collection by Hilton debuts in Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai will welcome its first Tapestry Collection by Hilton property, expanding Hilton’s presence in one of Thailand’s leading cultural destinations.
The hotel will be located in the city’s historic Old Town, a UNESCO-recognised area surrounded by ancient moats and more than 300 temples. The property will occupy a heritage building that reflects Northern Thai architectural traditions.
With 65 rooms, the hotel will feature locally inspired design and food and beverage concepts. Its location will provide access to cultural landmarks, historic temples, walking streets and local markets.
First Tapestry Collection property announced for Maldives
Coco de Mer Maldives, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will introduce the brand to the Maldives when it opens in June 2027.
The 75-room resort will offer a combination of premium experiences and accessibility, providing guests with an independent hospitality concept inspired by the character of the destination.
Located approximately 25 minutes by speedboat from Malé, the resort will offer access from Velana International Airport. Facilities will include dining concepts, a wellness centre, a sea sports centre and pickleball courts.
Hilton strengthens Southeast Asia lifestyle strategy
Alexandra Murray, vice president and regional head of South East Asia at Hilton, said: “Thailand and the Maldives have long been lifestyle powerhouses in South East Asia, and these signings provide new opportunities to showcase our independent-spirited brands. Tapestry Collection and Curio Collection are a natural fit for these destinations where guests seek not just accommodation, but experiences rooted in place. These signings reinforce our commitment to bringing the right brands to the right markets, as we continue to grow our lifestyle presence across key destinations.”
The new projects follow the recent opening of Kahavadi Chiang Rai, Curio Collection by Hilton, as well as the upcoming openings of Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit and Nivata Koh Samui, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.
Maria Ariizumi, vice president, development, South East Asia, Hilton, added: “We continue to see strong interest from owners in South East Asia for lifestyle brands, supported by solid market fundamentals and evolving traveler demand. These signings allow us to broaden our presence in high-demand destinations, where we see clear opportunities to scale our award-winning brands alongside trusted local partners and unlock new opportunities in both resort and cultural destinations.”
Curio Collection by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton properties participate in Hilton Honors, Hilton’s guest loyalty programme covering the company’s global hotel brands.
