Jakarta. Professional networking site LinkedIn announced it now has over 433 million members worldwide — 6 million of them in Indonesia.
“LinkedIn has over 17 million members in Southeast Asia, and 6 million of them are in Indonesia,” LinkedIn’s Head of Southeast Asia Talent Solutions Frank Koo said in Jakarta on Tuesday (02/08), adding that Indonesia is the site’s fastest growing market in Southeast Asia.
According to Frank, the majority of LinkedIn users find the website has a positive impact on their professional lives as it helps them with their personal branding.
The networking site has recently published a study titled “Your Story @Work,” which revealed that 78 percent of decision makers use LinkedIn in recruitment process to check the profiles of potential candidates — 73 percent of them agree that online impression is just as important as offline appearance.
