104-year-old ship-hotel opening this June in Bintan

The highly anticipated floating hotel, Doulos Phos is ready to open in June, the launch just one of Bintan Island’s flurry of new plans and developments.

The 104-year-old-vessel first set sail in 1914, two years after the Titanic, and still holds the reputation of “World’s Oldest Active Ocean Going Passenger Ship” in the Guinness World Records.

Hyatt to develop luxury hotel at Japan’s historic racing circuit

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has entered into a management agreement with Towa Real Estate, an affiliate of Toyota Group, to develop a 120-key hotel at the Fuji Speedway, Japan’s historic racing circuit.

Slated to open in 2022, the project will be the first in Japan under The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand. Guestrooms will start from 45m2 and feature views of Mount Fuji.

Marriott International announced its continued expansion plans in Asia-Pacific with its 2020 vision – an aggressive target to have 1000 hotels open by the end of 2020.
