The Vinpearl Luxury Landmark 81 Hotel has opened in HCMC

Vietnam’s hotel market has been growing quickly as foreign and domestic brands add more properties in key cities of Ho Chi Minh and Danang.

Vietnamese hospitality brand Vinpearl has opened a new luxury property in Ho Chi Minh City, housed in an 81-storey skyscraper––the tallest in Indochina and among the world’s 14 tallest skyscrapers.

The Vinpearl Luxury Landmark 81 Hotel opens in the city’s new central business district, offering one of the largest meetings and events facilities in HCMC. The hotel is part of a 241,000sqm mixed-use development that includes serviced residential apartments and retail spaces. The base of the development is a shopping centre featuring luxury retailers.

A centrepiece is the hotel’s 1,460-sqm Grand Ballroom, a pillarless venue with a six-metre-high ceiling. The hotel also offers four meeting rooms, with shared breakout areas and a private lift that will whisk guests to the hotel’s Pearl Lounge on the 71st floor and Sky Bar on the 77th.

Meanwhile, Hilton has set foot in the central Vietnamese city of Danang with its flagship brand. Hilton Da Nang, a 28-storey full-service property, which offers 223 rooms and suites, and is the group’s third property in the country following two openings in Hanoi.

Located near the Han Bridge and the city’s famed Bach Dang street, the hotel offers easy access to Danang’s main entertainment, shopping and business belts.

Rooms range from 36-sqm to 202-sqm, which overlook the Han River. The hotel’s executive floor rooms come with access to the 27th floor lounge, which offers complimentary breakfast and all-day refreshments.

The hotel’s meetings and events spaces span a total of 725-sqm, with eight meeting rooms and a grand ballroom that can host up to 500 guests. Other amenities include three dining restaurants, a 24-hour gym and heated outdoor swimming pool.
