Bali’s ‘haunted hotel’ to be brought back from the dead

DENPASAR – The Regency of Tabanan plans to rebuild the long-abandoned and deserted hotel project in Bali’s Bedugul district, commonly known as The Haunted Hotel.

The Tabanan Administration has reportedly held discussions with the hotel’s current owner and is said to be seeking a new investor to totally revamp the project to become a luxury international-standard property.

Bali police join crackdown against ‘zero dollar’ tours

DENPASAR – A sharp fall in the number of Chinese tourists to Bali is being attributed to a crackdown on rogue tour operators.

Bali’s police and tourist industry have been working with Chinese authorities to shut down syndicates running “zero dollar” operations.

Tour operators in China were selling cheap trips – often  for less than US$200 for a week – and funnelling tourists into Chinese-owned shops and restaurants in Bali where they were sold goods at vastly inflated prices.

Fusion adds 10 hotels to its collection in Vietnam and launches new brands

Fusion is substantially expanding its Vietnam presence by tripling the number of properties in the country.

Over the next three years, the wellness lodging specialists will launch 10 new hotels and resorts, representing 1,385 rooms and private villas, suites and apartments.
