Macau worst hit by Covid-19 among APAC hotels

Hotels across the Asia-Pacific region have taken a severe dip in occupancy amid the Covid-19 outbreak, with Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan the most deeply impacted, according to preliminary February data from STR.

Pulling from Tourism Economics’ global top 20 for mainland China outbound travel, STR analysed 14 markets for a six-week period, beginning January 6 till February 16.

Cam Ranh expands tourism ambitions with 800-hectare integrated development

HO CHI MINH CITY – Vietnamese real estate developer KN Cam Ranh Company Limited intends to call for partnerships to invest and operate a new 800-hectare integrated resort in Cam Ranh.

Radisson kicks off expansion spree in India

Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) has entered 2020 with the signing of 17 new hotels in India, boosting the company’s portfolio in South Asia to more than 150 hotels and 17,000 rooms, both in operation and under development.

The new hotels will add approximately 1,880 hotel rooms across India between now and 2025.

Hilton to manage third hotel in Bangkok, its biggest for the city

Hilton Hotels has signed a management agreement with real estate company AP Prime Property Company to convert the former Grand Ayudhaya Hotel into the 608-room Hilton Bangkok Ratchada by 2022.

The hotel, which will be the Hilton brand’s largest property in Bangkok yet, is located on Ratchadapisek Road, close to commercial buildings and landmarks. The larger vicinity has also been earmarked as one of Bangkok’s rising business and financial districts.

Hilton has signed a 15-year management agreement with Inspirasi Langkawi to build The Nautilus Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, a 250-room hotel on the island of Langkawi in Malaysia.
