FLC Group to build 20 golf courses in Vietnam

Thailand – Publicly-listed Vietnam company, FLC Group, has announced plans to build 20 new golf courses in Vietnam in the next five years.

The Hanoi-based company – a major developer of apartments, shopping centres, industrial parks and resorts – already has USD1 billion of golf resort development under way or completed at four locations on Vietnam’s 3260-kilometre coastline.

Sharp rise in tourist numbers to Indonesia

Recent expansion of a free-visa policy and aggressive promotion have proved a boon for Indonesia’s tourist industry, with foreign visitor arrivals in May once more exceeding 900,000, a monthly figure traditionally not reached until the latter months of the year.

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced on Friday that total foreign visitors had reached 915,200 in May, topping 900,000 for a third consecutive month.

Wyndham Hotel Group is set to triple its current portfolio of 13 hotels in Korea to meet the country’s growing shortage of hotel rooms with five new hotel signings in the areas of Incheon, Yongin, Daejeon and Kimpo.
