Accor shelves out US$300 million to start lifestyle venture with boutique hospitality group Ennismore

Accor and boutique hospitality group Ennismore, parent company of the Hoxton hotel chain and Scotland’s Gleneagles resort, have announced plans to create a standalone lifestyle platform comprising a dozen of their hotel brands.

The entity will bring Ennismore’s Hoxton and Gleneagles properties under the same umbrella as Accor’s Delano, SLS, Mondrian, SO/, Hyde, Mama Shelter, 25h, 21c Museum Hotels, Tribe and Jo&Joe brands. The portfolio will also include The Hoxton’s Working From_ coworking offshoot.

Guangzhou leads strong China hotel development pipeline

China’s hotel construction pipeline continues to remain robust in 3Q2020 amid Covid-19 headwinds, despite trending slightly down from a peak in the previous quarter, according to analysts at Lodging Econometrics (LE).

Former Le Meridien will reopen as Oasia Resort Sentosa, Singapore

Come 2Q 2021, the former Le Meridien Sentosa will reopen as Oasia Resort Sentosa under Far East Hospitality’s (FEH) management.

Oasia Resort Sentosa will be FEH’s fourth property on Sentosa, after Village Hotel Sentosa, Outpost Hotel and The Barracks Hotels on the island destination.
