Hilton signs DoubleTree by Hilton Vung Tau and Hilton Garden Inn Saigon Hotels

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has announced an expansion of its Vietnamese portfolio, while attending the APEC Summit in the country. Two management agreements have been signed with two affiliates of BRG Group for a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Vung Tau, a key city in southern Vietnam and a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Ho Chi Minh City respectively.

With the signing of DoubleTree by Hilton Vung Tau and Hilton Garden Inn Saigon, Hilton today has a total of 11 hotels operating or under development in Vietnam, eight of which are owned by BRG Group.

The 250-room DoubleTree by Hilton Vung Tau is located in the heart of Vung Tau, a popular destination city that is well known for its long stretches of beaches, lakes and thermal springs. The hotel is an 800-meter walk to the famous Bai Truoc Beach and a short drive away from the Dong Xuyen Industrial Park. Offering more than 1,700 square-meters of meeting space including a ballroom, the hotel will have four dining and bar outlets, a swimming pool, a fitness center and spa.

Hilton Garden Inn Saigon is located in District 1, home to most of the administrative offices, consulates, and multinational companies in Ho Chi Minh City. The 160-room hotel is also within a 1.5-kilometer radius of numerous key attractions such as Saigon Opera House, Reunification Palace and Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon. The hotel will offer two dining and bar outlets, a fitness center and a swimming pool.
