SINGAPORE—Following openings in India and China, 2018 marks the start of another wave of growth for Alila Hotels and Resorts as the brand plans to unveil five new properties in some of Asia’s major cities. Each destination will provide bespoke journeys and private spaces that give a nod to local culture and the distinctive history of the regions.
Alila Koggala, Sri Lanka
Opening June 2018, the resort is situated by the Koggala Lake, which offers the tranquility, the biodiversity and the natural environment of a lakeside resort, while also being a short drive to the ocean.
Alila Villas Koh Russey, Cambodia
With an interesting mix of pavilions and luxe pool villas allowing a wider range of options for a private island experience, the resort will offer a beachfront grill and refined dining restaurant, as well as a signature Spa Alila, fitness center and yoga studio. It is scheduled to open September 2018.
Alila SCBD in Jakarta
The property’s design will take upscale lifestyle living to the next level with its design architecture, restaurants, creative meeting and entertainment spaces in the heart of the city’s dynamic retail and business district, according to the company. It is scheduled to open in Indonesia August 2018.
Alila Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Taking cues from the location’s heritage, particularly Brickfield’s history of brick-making and the rail depot, the sky-leveled lobby will offer an inherent sense of place through industrial raw designs, according to the company. It will open in 2018.
The Cliff, Uluwatu, Bali
Located at its own secluded site within the grounds of the Alila Villas Uluwatu resort in Indonesia, The Cliff will offer the privacy of a self-contained enclave right on a cliff’s edge overlooking the Indian Ocean. It will open in 2018.
