Hanoi to host Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2017 on 6 to 9 April

HANOI :  Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2017 will take place 6 to 9 April at the International Centre for Exhibition in Hanoi.

The fifth edition of VITM continues with the same format dividing the show into inbound, outbound and domestic tourism sectors.

Themed “Hanoi– the destination of Vietnam in 2017,” the travel show is expected to attract 600 enterprises, tourism management and promotion agencies from 43 provinces and cities and 25 countries and territories, according to local media reports.

The domestic part of the show will major on destinations in and around Hanoi identifying new products and services and promotion tour packages, air ticket promotions including a photo contest, traditional art performances, conferences and workshops.

The fair will attract around 60,000 Vietnamese travel consumers.

Hanoi’s tourism sector, this year, will attract 23.39 million visitors, including 4.08 million foreign tourists, with a revenue of USD2.89 billion, according to the Municipal Tourism Department.

It reported that the capital city welcomed 21.8 million visitors in 2016, including 4 million foreigners, earning USD2.72 billion, up 13% year on year.
