CT Corp and AccorHotels to open 30 new hotels in Indonesia

Jakarta. CT Corp, a business group owned by tycoon Chairul Tanjung, and global hotel operator chain AccorHotels have signed a memorandum of understanding for opening 30 more hotels and resorts to accelerate tourism development in Indonesia.

“We are happy to be working with CT Corp to add 6,000 more rooms across Indonesia in line with the growth of tourism, especially to cater to travelers who come for business meetings and conventions,” AccorHotels Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore chief operating officer Garth Simmons said during a signing ceremony in SkyLounge Fairmont Jakarta on Thursday (09/11).

He said the partnership will synergize CT Corp’s strength with AccorHotels for creating properties for living and entertainment.

Chairul, CT Corp president director, said the partnership with AccorHotels shows the company’s commitment to support Indonesia’s tourism industry and to provide more hotels and entertainment venues in the most strategic locations.

The partnership will open the gate for CT Corp to benefit from a strong international distribution network and digital platforms for its world-class loyalty management. The group will also gain access to AccorHotels diverse portfolio, including luxurious hotels (Raffles, Sofitel Legend, Fairmont, Sofitel, MGallery, Pullman, Swissotel and 25Hours Hotels), middle class hotels (Novotel, Mercure, Mama Shelter and Adagio), budget ones (JO & JOE, Ibis, Ibis Styles, Ibis budget) and regional brands (Grand Mercure, The Sebel, F1 Hotel).

AccorHotels, which has been leading the hotel industry in Indonesia since nearly 25 years, has a history of collaboration with CT Corp in managing Ibis Bandung Trans Studio, a budget hotel integrated with Trans Studio Bandung.

“We will keep improving the Trans Hotel and Resort while also developing AccorHotels, based on the location and market segment need,” said Chairul.

In this strategic partnership, both parties are committed to open integrated hotel and lifestyle complex Trans Studio Cibubur in East Jakarta in 2018 and in Surabaya in 2019.
